The New Sea Ray SLX-R 400e featuring the FathomTM e-Power System takes home an Innovation Award at the Miami International Boat Show

Mastervolt is proud to congratulate the team at Sea Ray Boats for winning the Innovation Award for the Cuddy Cabin and Bow Rider Category at the Miami International Boat Show. The new SLX-R 400e, which was first introduced at the 2020 CES show in Las Vegas, incorporates breakthrough innovations in both design and functionality, resulting in a boat that redefines the boating experience.
One of these innovations is the FathomTM e-Power System. Fathom is a completely integrated electrical system that utilizes advanced Mastervolt lithium-ion batteries and sophisticated Mastervolt power-conversion modules to provide the power to all of the loads on the boat — without the need for a generator. The Fathom e-Power System supplies 22000 watts, which is enough energy for a full day on the water before needing a recharge. Plus, it eliminates the harmful emissions and the noisy hum of a generator. When the lithium-ion batteries do need to be charged, there are two powerful inverter/chargers that will recharge the batteries in as little as 4.5 hours. In addition, three 115 amp alternators deliver a constant charge when the boat is underway.

Sea Ray and Mastervolt engineers worked collaboratively for several months to develop the Fathom e-Power System. “This was an exciting project,” stated Tom Schuessler, president of Power Products LLC (parent company of Mastervolt). “The ability to develop a networked, integrated power system on the SLX-R 400e platform is a true technology advancement. Sea Ray definitely deserves this innovation award.”
