SureShade RTX Pull-Out Shade Now Available for Aftermarket or DIY Installs

Published: Tuesday, March 8, 2016

SureShade, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of patented retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, announces that their new SureShade RTX Pull-out Shade is now available to boaters in need of more shade in the cockpit or bow of boats under 27 feet with an overhead structure such as a hardtop, T-top, arch or tower.

The patented SureShade RTX Pull-Out Shade operates with a simple push-in / pull-out mechanism to extend or retract shade for a cockpit or bow within seconds, providing easy access to sunshade on smaller boats. The introduction of SureShade RTX addresses the market demand for a lightweight, affordable, easy-to-install shade option in the popular 27FT and under segment.

Using specialized mounting brackets, RTX can be installed on hardtops, T-tops, arches or towers. A manually operated shade, RTX requires no electrical wiring or obstructive support poles, making it easy to install by dealers as an aftermarket installation or by boat owners as a DIY installation. RTX has already been installed aftermarket in limited production and recently debuted at the 2016 Miami Boat Show as a factory option on the Scout 275 Dorado with other major OEMs and boat models on order.

SureShade now has a shade solution for every boat size and style, including: SureShade ATF automated shade for boats over 30 feet, SureShade MTF manual shade for boats under 35 feet, SureShade M3 for yachts over 60 feet and SureShade RTX Pull-Out Shade for boats under 27 feet.

Over 35 leading boat brands – including Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Grady-White and Cruisers – choose SureShade on over 65 boat models as their factory sunshade solution.
