Pursuit Introduces All New S 378, Wins Award at the Miami International Boat Show

Published: Monday, March 16, 2020

Pursuit Boats continues to expand its popular Sport Series line to include the all new S 378. The company debuted the S 378 to marine media professionals, dealers and boat show attendees during the 2020 Miami International Boat Show.

“The newest addition to our Sport family not only possesses the quality, fishability and versatility that our owners have come to expect, but also features advanced innovations not before seen in this segment,” said Bruce Thompson, President of Pursuit Boats. “We are increasingly proud of the entire team at Pursuit for consistently creating, building and presenting new products that not only reflect, but exceed market demands.”

The new center console has an LOA of 40' 5", a wide 12' beam and features a patent-pending entertainment center. With the push of a button, the aft-facing seat glides back, transforming a spacious fishing area into a social zone providing access to a versatile entertainment center that features a grill, sink, refrigerator and dedicated storage space, and is also well-equipped to be used as a bait prep area. A recessed track system powered by a single drive motor hidden below deck provides both aesthetics and safety. With the seat stowed, the cockpit is best in class at 63" in length. When open, the aft-facing seat creates another social zone with the fold- out transom seat, complete with a table for dining and entertaining.

Another notable feature is multi-function bow seating that features dual sculpted chaise-lounges that with a push of the leg rest converts to a seat that is on the same plane as the rest of the bow seating, providing yet another comfortable space to socialize.

Also new to this model are tempered glass hull side windows which are aligned with the console sidelights to create sightlines from the center console out through the hull for water views, a feature typically found only on express style cabin boats.

In addition to the latest features, boaters will find all the standards that Pursuit Sport’s are known for including elements such as an oversized fiberglass integrated hardtop and windshield system, thru-stem anchor system, hull side door and integrated transom extensions. An adjustable helm with enhanced ergonomics will allow the captain to feel the power of the triple Yamaha 425 XTO engines and experience the boat’s effortless maneuverability at a cruising speed of 32 MPH. Already fully equipped for offshore fishing, an optional upgraded fishing package is available that includes features such as a secondary livewell, hardtop mounted rod holders and outriggers.

“In line with our guiding principles of passion, innovation and excellence, the S 378 Sport is a fine example of the Pursuit family remaining loyal to our mission - to design, engineer, tool and build the best boats on the market,” added Thompson.

Another highlight of the Miami International Boat show is that Pursuit Boats is a recipient of the 2019 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index Award for excellence in customer satisfaction. Winners were announced by The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and acknowledged during the annual Industry Awards Breakfast at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show.

The Marine Industry CSI Awards program honors participating manufacturers that actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. For this calendar year, award recipients achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction with at least 25 completed surveys or 15 completed surveys and a 50% response rate in a category/ segment over the past 12 months, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019.

“Here at Pursuit, we are committed to excellence and we are proud of the boats we build. We want our customers to be just as satisfied with the quality as we are. Achieving this award every year since its inception in 2003 reinforces that we are meeting that goal,” says Randy Jernigan, Director of Sales.
