Annapolis, MD – Floating docks will soon fill Ego Alley and extend into Annapolis as the town prepares to host two of the largest in-water boat shows in the nation. Known for the displays of new and premiering boats from manufacturers around the world, the 2022 fall shows will also highlight two key segments within the boating community. The United States Powerboat Show (October 6-9) will cast a spotlight on anglers at the brand-new FishTalk Fishing Spot, and the United States Sailboat Show presented by West Marine (October 13-17) will feature sailors who share the beauty of the sailing lifestyle through video at the Sailing Channels Booth in Vacation Basin.

Thousands of viewers have been hip to the growing popularity of couples and families sailing the world, unfolding their adventures through video. Back for the second time and bigger than ever, bluewater cruising vloggers will sail into the Sailing Channels Booth at the sailboat show. Located in Vacation Basin, the booth will feature over forty channels on a rotating timetable including stars from Sailing La Vagabonde, Parlay Revival, Sailing SV Delos, Taylor’s Travels, and Sailing Doodles. Stop in to hear their stories, take some selfies, purchase their gear, and meet other like-minded sailors. Check out the Sailing Channels Booth schedule to make your plans to see your favorite creators before you arrive.

New at the Powerboat Show (October 6-9) this year, anglers will gather at the FishTalk Fishing Spot. The Spot will feature a variety of attractions and fishing gear and equipment from exhibitors such as Under Armour and local craftsmen. Attendees will learn from industry experts from FishTalk Magazine and Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland during their free daily seminars, sponsored by Maritime Fabrication. Fish & Hunt Maryland representatives will be available to chat about the many fishing opportunities in Maryland. The fishing activity is strategically located next to Pusser’s in-show location, so Anglers may stop by to grab a drink, enjoy live music courtesy of Turtle Box Audio, and connect with fellow anglers.

With a strong maritime history, nautical culture, and a great variety of restaurants, the brick-lined streets of Maryland’s capital provide additional fun and entertainment for all. When show-goers have finished exploring the floating docks and shoreside exhibit areas, downtown restaurants, shops, galleries, and special events open their doors to patrons looking to extend their stay.

Admission starts at just $22 for general admission when purchased online in advance. A limited number of tickets to the VIP Experience, presented by LaVictoire Finance, are also available for the entirety of the shows. This premier ticket provides an enhanced experience at the show featuring reserved parking close to the gate, delicious buffets, and all-day drink tastings in a relaxed and comfortable area.
