Leland, Michigan’s Riverside Inn Bringing Wild Game Dinner to Killarney

As part of the continuing Chefs Across the Great Lakes chef exchange program, Killarney Mountain Lodge will entertain the chefs of Leland, Michigan’s Riverside Inn for round two of their collaborative dining series. Riverside’s proprietor Kate Vilter, Chef Pete Siagkris and Killarney’s Chef Kay Bonsu have worked jointly to create a unique dining experience and wine pairings for the October 10th dinner at The Lodge. As with prior CAGL events, proceeds benefit local causes; in this case, the Killarney Airport resurfacing project.
The Menu:
Duck Confit, Curled Pasta au Gratin
Pasta and smoked Gouda cheese cake, Duck confit
Roasted Beet Salad
Roasted red and gold beets with mixed greens, fresh goat cheese, toasted almonds,
and a mint-basil pesto vinaigrette
Robillito
Braised cannellini beans, spinach, and cannellini broth with toasted crostini
Intermezzo
Tomato sorbet with marjoram, basil, and aged balsamic
Venison filet
Pan seared venison filet, coffee roasted carrots, parsnip puree, house made demiglace
Pumpkin Crème Brule
Reservations are required and available by calling Killarney Mountain Lodge at 800-461-1117. Price per person $65.00 for dinner and $35.00 for wine pairings. The event begins with cocktails at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 7:00 pm.
