2019 NMRA Scholarship Application Process Now Underway

The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) is offering a $2,500 scholarship to an outstanding student pursuing education and a career in the marine trades. Past recipients have gone on to vocations in a wide range of fields, including boatbuilding, logistics, naval design and the merchant marines. High school seniors, and college and vocational students are encouraged to apply.
The application can be downloaded at bit.ly/nmrascholarship and is due April 1, 2019. The scholarship winner will be announced this summer.
"By bringing energetic, talented young people into the marine trades, we're helping to ensure the collective health of our industry," said Clayton Smith, NMRA president. "We encourage schools to promote this scholarship widely to their students." The NMRA began the program in 2008.
Several NMRA rep group and manufacturer members generously donated to the 2019 scholarship fund. Midwest Outdoor Marketing reached the Admiral level of giving. Advanced Pedestals, Coatney Sales, ComMar Sales, Gulf Atlantic Marketing, Haimes Coleman Group, Nixon Marine Global, The Merifield Company, Waters & David, West Coast Sales and William F. Miller & Associates contributed to the Ship's Crew level.
