Introducing Coastal Craft's Next-Level New Sportfishing Yacht, the 42EF

The 42 EF (Express/Fish) is an all-aluminum high-speed yacht powered by your choice of quad outboards from 1,400 hp to 1,800 hp. This addition to the Coastal Craft lineup features a new, aggressive deep V hull with larger reversed chines and strakes compared to their earlier 40’ and 45’ Flybridge models.
The new hull was specifically designed to carry speeds up to 60 knots through larger sea states while maintaining a smooth, stable, and dry ride. Powered with a quad Yamaha 425OTX, the top speed is 52 knots (60 mph) with comfortable cruising speeds up to 40 knots (46 mph). The 600-gallon fuel capacity ensures the range will meet most boaters’ exploration demands.
The standard layout features two staterooms and one head and shower, while the salon layout features a large galley up, a spacious U-shaped settee, starboard helm, and port side front double seat. With interior seating for nine including the captain, you and your guests will surely enjoy the ride and destination regardless of the temperature.
The forward owner’s accommodations offer a spacious stateroom and a partial walk-around queen berth. The large head and shower are located across the companionway from each other, ensuring the full suite experience for its owners. The second stateroom to aft contains two single berths, combining into a queen if needed. The separation created with this layout provides unbeatable privacy between the two staterooms.
The interior joinery is an abundance of black walnut mixed with contemporary soft panels. Solid surface countertops, teak flooring, and well-engineered lighting solutions provide the warmest and most comfortable interior space of its size. The single-piece curved windshield, opening side glass windows, and massive sunroof with an additional glass ceiling panel make a proper open boat without battling the elements.
The cockpit deck offers your choice of layouts. With port and starboard side doors, it’s easy to get yourself and your catch on and off. For serious sportfishing, there are options including one or two live wells, insulated fish boxes or freezer boxes in the decks, outriggers, cockpit control station, and Marlin Tower. The raised mezzanine deck offers your choice of port-side double-wide seating or a tackle cabinet. Port and starboard fold-down seats recessed in the transom on either side of the center live well offer seating options on the raised deck. This cockpit can be equipped for serious tournament fishing, hanging about, or a combination of both. Going forward, the walk-around decks are expansive and safe, with excellent handrails on both sides of the walkway.
The optional upper Marlin tower provides an excellent viewpoint for hunting game fish or a nice spot to relax when weather permits. The large foredeck can be equipped with lounging pads for laying out, enjoying the view at anchor, or going slow. Some of the other features and options include the choice of Yamaha, Mercury, or Suzuki outboards and related controls and steering specific to the outboard brand. Standard and optional equipment available includes a SeaKeeper 5, 9KW generator, air conditioning with reverse air heat, diesel furnace for northern boating, large battery capacity, water maker, cockpit control station, and bow thruster.
