Yep, We Made an App for That!

As a lifelong boater here in the Great Lakes, I’m always looking for an effective source of information about boating in my area, something to help simplify my lifestyle and streamline my short boating season.
When I wake up, the first thing I want to know is the forecast so I can plan my day. Then, I’ll need to figure out where to go, who we are going to go with, or who we’ll meet on the water. With three girls aged 12-17, there can be a lot to coordinate. Plus, with events like weddings, graduations, or sporting tournaments during the boating season, we cringe at the thought of missing a weekend out on the water and look to maximize our time, preferring to spend every chance we get enjoying the lake and our boat!
So to relieve myself of having to visit multiple apps to find out that basic information, we, here at Scuttlebutt®, created a “social network” just for boaters, allowing us to connect with all our boating friends and conveniently look at weather forecasts where I boat. If you’re a cruiser and just like going to different places where you boat, Scuttlebutt can help with a map that allows you to locate the best marinas, restaurants, shopping, and all kinds of local information on the destination of your choice!

During the summer of 2021, we are launching our app with all your social needs in place, plus a great map with weather overlay. In the near future, we will be bringing these (and many other) features into the app, helping boaters customize their lifestyles.
