Trout's Yacht Basin Service is Now Trout's Marine Service, LLC

Published: Friday, June 4, 2021

New changes and improvements continue at Trout's Yacht Basin, LLC in the wake of more than 65 years of business.

In February 2020, John Trout, owner and operator of Trout's Yacht Basin Service, retired after 40+ years and sold his interest in the business to his brother, Tom Trout. Tom has run the marina side of the business for 40+ years.

Tom has retained John's grandson, Matthew Stines, to manage the service shop. Matthew has worked over five years with Trout's and holds several Mercury/Mercruiser certifications. Matthew's priority is to make sure every boat leaves the shop as good as new.

Many updates to the business have been made. One of the main changes is the name of the service shop to Trout's Marine Service, LLC. The marina side will remain Trout's Yacht Basin, LLC. This change will help distinguish which location to go to for the desired products and services.

Trout's Marine Service will now offer new products such as Humminbird fishfinders and Minn Kota trolling motors. Engine repairs, electrical work, rigging installation, and computer diagnostics are some of the services that Matthew and his team provide.

Trout's Marine Service is a premier Mercury/Mercruiser dealer located on Lake Erie between Detroit and Toledo, Ohio, in Bolles Harbor. The staff at Trout's looks forward to sharing these new improvements with you this boating season. You can confidently find the service department at www.facebook.com/Parts.EngineRepair or email [email protected].
