Our vessel and crew are ready to hit the water! Outdrives have been serviced; the hull has been painted; the cabins have been stocked and props have been buffed! Captain Tom and I have had a long winter, and a crazier, longer, confusing spring… with all of this comes a lot of daydreaming about those summer days, the ones that make us crave the water in the first place.
Those are the days where you can feel the intense heat soaking into your skin, relaxing every inch of you. Those are the days that leave you no choice but to just quietly float on your favorite raft (that fits only the First Mate) in that cool, sun-kissed water, with a tropical frozen drink in your hand. The only sound heard is the gentle swooshing of the other drink-less hand acting as a paddle, splashing just enough to keep you off shore…
**3 seconds later**
Your little skippers are hungry, your Captain is warding off possible “anchor pirates,” and a fellow boater is yelling “Who's dog is this? It just ran off with my lunch!!” Those three seconds of heaven and that frozen drink are what gets me through the winter. Although pleasure boating is a ton of work, it really is such a pleasure! My words today might not be able to supply you with those three seconds of heaven as you hit the water this summer, but I can supply you with an ideal frozen drink recipe that would go alongside!
Cheers!
