PowerTime Milwaukee Expects Big Surge in 2020

After Successful Test Run in 2019, Great Lakes Pioneer in Luxury Powerboat Sharing Excited for Big Summer of Powerboating in 2020

Published: Monday, May 11, 2020

SailTime Milwaukee Base owner Scott Monroe has introduced thousands of sailing enthusiasts to the possibilities of luxury yacht sailing without the cost and hassle of ownership. This summer, he’s bringing the fun to powerboaters with Lake Michigan’s first fractional powerboat membership program.

SailTime Group, the world’s leading fractional sailboat membership franchise, officially announced the launch of PowerTime, a new boating membership program specializing in high-end powerboats and yachts. Launched in 2019, PowerTime is the latest boat sharing program developed by SailTime Group, a pioneer in the sharing economy for two decades. Milwaukee is one of only six franchises worldwide ready to launch in 2020.

“We already know how popular fractional boat membership is in Milwaukee thanks to the success of our SailTime franchise,” Monroe said, “With PowerTime, we’ll be able to expand the same great boat membership to a whole new market of boaters.”

PowerTime will offer members access to luxury powerboats with a fee that starts at only a few hundred dollars a month. PowerTime’s monthly fee includes all operational expenses such as dockage fees, insurance and routine maintenance. PowerTime members will be able to conveniently schedule blocks of time online to enjoy a new model powerboat without the commitment or expense of ownership.

“PowerTime will offer a boat sharing program on 30- to 45-foot luxury powerboats allowing clients multi-day usage and overnight stays,” Hess said, “Like SailTime, PowerTime will revolutionize the maritime sharing economy, offering boat enthusiasts the chance to enjoy luxury powerboats with overnight usage without the commitment of boat ownership.”

PowerTime is the first in the industry to offer a boat-management program for midsize powerboats. New boat owners can earn a generous income by placing their powerboat in the PowerTime program. The company’s innovative boat-management program provides consistent revenue and significantly reduces the cost of ownership. Owners also get a premier membership on their boat, guaranteeing them a full week of reservations every month on their vessel.

“The benefits of owning a boat in the PowerTime program are excellent. We help owners select their boat, line up financing and facilitate the purchase from the supplier. New boat owners can put their boat into the PowerTime fleet for up to five years and have all the benefits of daily professional management and care. Revenue is maximized without sacrificing use by the owner, which makes the PowerTime Ownership Program a very appealing option for future boat owners.” Hess explained.
