MTI Is Proud Award Winner

Marine Trades Institute Honored with 2026 Make It Better Foundation Philanthropy Award.

Marine Trades Institute is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of one of the 2026 Make It Better Foundation (MIBF) Philanthropy Awards. This prestigious honor recognizes organizations that demonstrate the highest standards of excellence, leadership, and impact – values that represent the heart of MIBF’s mission to build stronger communities and a better world.

The 2026 Winner Package includes a $25,000 grant directed to the Marine Trades Institute Student Enrichment Fund, alongside a robust editorial and digital campaign. The Student Enrichment Fund provides vital resources for specialized training opportunities, tools and equipment, field trips, and student life activities. As part of this recognition, Marine Trades Institute will collaborate on various editorials, featured stories, social media roundups, and will be included in the highly anticipated 2026 Guide to Giving.

Beyond immediate funding, the award provides access to future grant opportunities and fundraising support. To ensure long-term success, the Foundation will conduct an Impact Scorecard Review to measure the effectiveness of these features, helping the Institute grow its audience and broaden its advocacy for marine industry careers.
