Marine Legacies
Boat Keepers’ family business is set up for a beautiful future.
Published: Saturday, August 14, 2021
Brent Sargee started Boat Keepers in March of 2000 with determination. Trying to get his feet wet in the boating industry as a detailer, Brent would drive the banks of Lake Saint Clair handing out business cards and brochures and shaking hands. Spending many hours on the road, his drive was like no other. The passion he had to be on the water and the novel marketing tactics he used aided him in his goal of making Boat Keepers well known in the industry.
These days, Brent has done just that. After ‘getting in’ with a few local brokers, he began washing boats. Each vessel was an opportunity to take pride in his work, building trust and loyalty with every customer, and Boat Keepers has grown tremendously since then.
Services and staff have been added to keep up with the increasing demand and the high quality that customers expect, proving to be a rewarding journey. Continuing the momentum and looking to the future, Brent is proud to introduce his upcoming legacies: Jaden and Addison.
Like their father before them, both Jaden and Addison are strong-willed, driven, and are perfect fits for the next generation of Boat Keepers. Because they share the same enthusiasm for the water that drove Brent to create Boat Keepers in the first place, they definitely have the heart to take the company to the next level.
Each day, Brent is passing down his knowledge and testing his kids every step of the way. So far, Jaden and Addison have excelled in proving themselves to their customers, employees, and their father. Practice makes perfect, and even though it will be hard for Brent to step back when the time comes, he’s more than excited to give these new legends the wheel someday. They will be ready to take on Boat Keepers.
A proud father, Brent knows the path that was mapped out when Boat Keepers first started will continue on.
