Harrison Township Parade of Lights Returns August 6th

Lambrecht Marina (formerly Markley Marine) continues to host the Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights for the eighth year!

Hi there! My name is Julie Angst, I am Chairman of the Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights. I have managed this event for the last 7 years. The Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights, is a community event that is sponsored by many neighboring marinas and local businesses, to help raise funds for a local 501(c)3 charity.

This is a family, friendly, charity event that takes place on the Clinton River. Participants decorate their vessels and cruise the river, to benefit the chosen charity and possibly win the grand prize. The parade will be held on Saturday, August 6th, and will be led by The Pride of Michigan! The parade can be viewed at Bumpers Landing, Crews Inn or at the Harley Ensign Memorial Boating Access Site. The parade begins at Lambrecht Marina @ 9:00 p.m.

This year the proceeds will benefit Angels of Hope. Angels of Hope is a 100% volunteer charity! Angels of Hope’s mission is to provide critical support to Michigan families impacted by cancer. Their goal is to help ease the burden caused by disease, its treatment and its devastating effects-both financial and emotional. They tailor grant programs for each family they work with, so they receive help where they need it most. Angels of Hope has also developed a series of unique programs that provide emotional support to families coping with cancer.

In past years, the Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights, has helped raise funds for, Macomb County Sheriff - Marine Division, Harrison Twp. Firefighters - Toys for Tots, Detroit Animal Welfare Group, Noble Odyssey - Sea Cadet of Harrison Twp., Detroit Dog Rescue, Children’s Foundation - Stilson Specialty Center, and the ReJoyceful Animal Rescue.

This event could not continue without the generosity of our sponsors. Our past sponsors include: Lambrecht Marina, Freedom Boat Club, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Pleasantrees, Lori’s Lick ‘Em Up Ice Cream, Huron Pointe Excavating, EDC of Harrison Twp., MacRay Harbor, Tow Boat US, Great Lakes Training, Blue Water Marine and many of our local area businesses.

A panel of selected judges will determine the winners. This year judges, include Jay Towers, from Fox 2 news! First place is $1000.00, second place $500.00 and third place is $300.00. Resident winner receives $100.00.

$250.00: Silver - will receive recognition on the Lambrecht Marina Website/Facebook, Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights- Facebook, posters and banners to be displayed at Crews Inn, Bumpers Landing and Lambrecht Marina. Sponsor will receive a parade
plaque with their company name.
$500.00: Gold - will receive recognition on the Lambrecht Marina Website/Facebook, Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights- Facebook, posters and banners to be displayed at Crews Inn, Bumpers Landing and Lambrecht Marina. Company’s name will be recognized, as a Gold sponsor, thru-out ceremony at Lambrecht Marina. Sponsor will receive a parade plaque with their company name.
$1000.00: Platinum - will receive recognition on the Lambrecht Marina Website/Facebook, Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights- Facebook, posters and banners to be displayed at Crews Inn, Bumpers Landing and Lambrecht Marina. Company’s name to will be recognized as a sponsor thru-out the awards ceremony, at Lambrecht Marina. Name of company included on Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights T-shirts. These will be worn by all of the volunteers at Bumpers Landing, Crews Inn and Lambrecht Marina. (Donations must be given prior to July 15th, to have your company name on t-shirts) Sponsor will receive a parade plaque with their company name.
$2500.00: Parade Co-Sponsor - will be recognized as Parade Co-Sponsor and will be included in our newspaper article, prior to the parade and the Lake St. Clair booklet after the parade. Sponsors will be known as our Co-Sponsors of the 2022 Parade of Light on advertising. Plaques will also include the logo/name of our large sponsor. (These are given to every sponsor to display in their place of business). Sponsors will receive recognition on the Lambrecht Marina Website/Facebook, Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights- Facebook, posters and banners to be displayed at Crews Inn, Bumpers Landing and Lambrecht Marina. Name of company included on Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights T-shirts. (Donations must be given prior to July 15th, to have your company name on t-shirts). Company name will be mentioned thru-out ceremony, at Lambrecht Marina. Sponsor will have company name included on a Co-Sponsor banner in the parade, on a participating boat.
$3500.00: Partner Sponsor - will be recognized as Parade Partner Sponsor and will be included in our newspaper article, prior to the parade and the Lake St. Clair booklet after the parade. Sponsors will be known as our Partner Sponsors of the 2022 Parade of Light’s on advertising. Plaques will also include the logo/name of our large sponsor. (These are given to every sponsor to display in their place of business). Sponsors will receive recognition on the Lambrecht Marina Website/Facebook, Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights- Facebook, posters and banners to be displayed at Crews Inn, Bumpers Landing and Lambrecht Marina. Name of company included on Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights T-shirts (Donations must be given prior to July 23rd, to have your company name on t-shirts). Company name will be mentioned thru-out ceremony, at Lambrecht Marina. Sponsor’s company name will be displayed on a decorated boat in the parade, designated to the sponsoring company. Sponsor and family can join us in the parade, on the boat. A captain will be provided.

The Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights is also recognized on websites and Facebook pages including: Tow Boat Us-Lake St. Clair, Freedom Boat Club, Make Macomb my Home, Jobbie Crew, Macombdaily.com, & Harrison Twp. local channel.

Donations will be accepted through July 23rd, 2022. A receipt will be made for all donations. Checks can be made payable to: The Harrison Twp. Parade of Lights (Mailing address: 31300 North River Road, Harrison Twp., MI 48045 c/o Julie). Harrison Twp. handles all records, deposits and disbursements of account.
