GOST® (Global Ocean Security Technologies), a world leader in marine security, tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, recently announced that it has partnered with fleet-integrated charting and navigational leader Canyon Runner® to offer customers access to elevated navigational, weather data and fishing intel such as current and forecasted catches of targeted species-specific locations.

In concert with Canyon Runner - through their CR Map powered by Viam - GOST customers will have access to active weather radar overlay, NOAA charts, and sea surface temperature data, directly through their Specter mobile-friendly website.

“As an industry leader in geostationary satellite tracking systems, our customers come to us because they want privatized access to track their maritime assets virtually anywhere via the GOST Specter site,” said Brian Kane, President and CEO, GOST. “Now having further environmental situational awareness with Canyon Runner for weather radar, sea temps and NOAA chartography add even more value. This new partnership with Canyon Runner gives access to a wealth of relevant data to our owners and charter management customers to fully understand conditions and corresponding vessel actions remotely.”

“We’ve always been impressed with GOST’s proven tracking systems,” said Capt. Deane Lambros of Canyon Runner. “By adding CR Map powered by our mutual partner Viam, boaters can now gain a better understanding of the conditions their vessels and passengers are facing. Additionally, Canyon Runner is offering GOST customers two months of free access to their full concierge membership. This includes advanced weather, wave, and lightning warnings with historical data, as well as searchable fishing intel like where the fish are currently located and where they are moving to.”
