June is Ohio Goes Boating Month, and there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water, learn something new, and take advantage of special offers from participating boating businesses across the state. 

 

BOGO Boat Rentals at Four Ohio Lakes This June

Looking for the perfect excuse to spend more time on the water this summer? As part of Ohio Goes Boating Month, Charles Mill Marina is offering a special Buy One, Get One Free boat rental promotion at four Ohio boating destinations.

From June 5–19, rent a boat at any participating location and receive a weekday boat rental voucher of equal or greater value to use later in the 2026 season.

Participating locations include:

  • Charles Mill Marina
  • Pleasant Hill Marina
  • Pymatuning Boat Rentals
  • Mosquito Lake Marina

Whether you're planning a return trip to your favorite lake or looking to explore a new Ohio waterway, this promotion is a great way to experience even more boating adventures this season.

Please note: Vouchers are non-transferable, must be used by the same party, and expire at the end of the 2026 season.

As part of Ohio Goes Boating Month, Buckeye Sports Center is hosting a free New Boater Orientation & Inquiry Session designed for anyone interested in learning more about boating and boat ownership.

Whether you're curious about buying your first boat, navigating Ohio's waterways, understanding safety requirements, or simply want to learn what boating is all about, this program is a great opportunity to get your questions answered by experienced boating professionals.

Sessions will be held from 1:00–3:00 p.m. on:

  • June 13
  • June 20
  • June 27

Ohio Goes Boating Month is made possible through the support of industry partners who share our mission of growing recreational boating across Ohio and helping more families discover life on the water.

Not ready to purchase a boat just yet? Ohio still offers plenty of ways to enjoy time on the water. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks & Watercraft provides helpful resources for new and experienced boaters, including boating safety and education information, registration guidance, Ohio boating rules, paddling resources, watercraft office locations, and boating opportunities throughout Ohio State Parks. Many Ohio State Parks also offer seasonal marinas and boat rental options, including kayaks, canoes, rowboats, pontoon boats, powerboats, personal watercraft, pedal boats, and more.
