Easily Launch And Stow Your Kayaks & Paddleboards
Published: Wednesday, June 3, 2020
Designed with the help and suggestions from many dock and waterfront property owners, Seahorse Fender and Docking’s new Light Craft Launch and Stow was designed to give you back your dock space by storing your kayaks and paddleboards in a convenient, safe, and compact location.
Property owners with a bulkhead, seawall, or dock can now have easy access to the water with their small crafts. Plus, the Launch and Stow takes up virtually no more space than the size of the crafts themselves.
Beginning with a float rated for up to 400lbs, the Launch and Stow is installed with a built-in slide, allowing the system and its included I-beam ladder to raise and lower with changing water levels. This keeps the ladder out of the water and barnacle-free. A second, swing-down ladder is mounted on the float, allowing a swimmer to easily exit the water and, when not in use, can be stored upright and out of the water.
The small craft cradle comes with straps to secure the vessel, and an optional, extended version is available to store two vessels with the system. When launching, a included manual winch will lower the cradle into the water where the cradle floats, ensuring an ideal launch and return height for your kayaks or other vessels. When done paddling for the day, strap the vessel(s) down and, using the winch, lift them out of water to be stored stacked one over the other, saving dock space.
A second, portable winch is available for lifting the complete launch vertically out of the water. This is great for severe storm planning or for long term storage, such as for the winter.
