GLC Training specializes in teaching the USCG 100 Ton Master Captain's License course and has been doing it successfully for more than 30 years. Students of our classes often use their license to offer fishing charters, dive charters, boat deliveries, sightseeing cruises, towing services, and more. Still, many students desire their Captain's License as a bucket list item or as an opportunity to further their knowledge and skills of Coast Guard rules, chartplotting, navigation, etc. One of the biggest surprises to me, as a former student of the course, was the immense number of doors that became open to an individual with their Coast Guard Captain’s License.
I first began teaching for GLC Training a little more than three years ago and have since taught classes nationwide to students with a diverse array of ambitions. The most rewarding part of my job is helping students chase down their dreams and make a living doing what they love.
When I am not teaching for GLC Training, I use my Captain’s License to operate Littlefield Sportfishing, LLC, my fishing charter business here in Michigan. Treating my customers to memorable days on the water is an amazing way to spend my teaching downtime! The beauty of having a Captain’s License is that it opens you up to a plethora of opportunities beyond what you may initially realize. Whether you choose to work as a captain for hire or start your own business, having a Captain’s License is truly a wide-open door.
If you have ever desired to make money doing what you love, or simply want to reach that next level of achievement as a lifelong mariner, check out www.glctraining.com to find a class near you! Our classes are 100% guaranteed and we give the test!
