E-Z Anchor Pullerís Rebel EZ-4 Drum Anchor Winch Earns High Praise

Published: Monday, March 23, 2020

Barry Berhoff, CEO of Shurhold Industries, is an avid diver off the coast of Florida and the Bahamas. After discovering E-Z Anchor Puller Mfg Co. at the 2017 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX), Berhoff decided to install the Rebel EZ-4 on his 40’ SeaVee.

“Once I got this in, I was really, really impressed because of the build quality,” said Berhoff. “The other cool thing about this was that we were able to go to a much thinner anchor line.”

E-Z Anchor Puller Mfg. Co’s Rebel EZ-4 drum anchor winch is the perfect option for boat dives and fishing spots. One of the most popular features of the free-fall series, the drum will spool out line as fast as gravity allows the anchor to fall after a quick two-second touch of a button.

Whether you are anchoring in shallow or deep waters, E-Z Anchor Puller’s drum anchor winch alleviates the operator from ever having to control the winch at the bow. When finished with your fun, press the “power up” side of the same button to neatly and quickly retract the line back onto the drum right from your helm.

“Without a doubt,” continued Berhoff, “the guys at E-Z Anchor Puller built a spectacular, strong marine-grade piece of equipment. I cannot recommend it enough.”

Known for its capabilities of holding nearly 1,000 feet of spectra or dyneema 1/4” line, the Rebel EZ-4 is completely manufactured from 316 stainless steel and is IP68-rated water submersible, guaranteeing its durability while tautly holding your line against the current.

E-Z Anchor Puller Mfg. Co. has over 30 years experience in providing a “better way to anchor.” Founded in 1990 by a Navy veteran who wanted an anchoring alternative to circumvent the pitfalls of a more traditional windlass system, the company has since grown from being an inventive side-hustle to a comprehensive Florida business—one that incorporates several standard drum winch models that set the standard for anchoring.
