Jarrett used to pull up a 22-pound anchor attached to 230 ft. of rope and chain all by himself. Now, after buying the Patriot EZ-2 unit and installing it in the rope locker of his 1977 25’ Mako Center Console, launching and retrieving is done with the push of a button. Jarrett simply holds down the direct drive rocker switch-type button to deploy his anchor to the bottom; then, pushes the other “up side” of the button for about three seconds to ensure his line is nice and tight. When done for the day, retrieving the anchor is as easy as holding the button down until the anchor is safely stowed.

The power-up / power-down direct drive unit gives boaters more control over deployment and retrieval with an average of 100 feet-per-minute, and the unit itself is compact enough to not get in the way on deck if it is mounted on the bow.
