Join Lake Erie Foundation on August 27th to celebrate Lake Erie with a Summer Fundraiser at Catawba Island Club!

The Lake Erie Foundation invites community members, businesses, boaters, lake lovers, and conservation supporters to attend Celebrate the Lake, a summer fundraising event dedicated to protecting and preserving Lake Erie.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Catawba Island Club. The evening will bring together supporters from across the region for a celebration of Lake Erie, the challenges it faces, and the work being done to protect it for future generations.
Celebrate the Lake supports Lake Erie Foundation’s ongoing advocacy, education, and conservation work. LEF focuses on some of the most pressing issues facing the lake, including harmful algal blooms, phosphorus runoff, plastics and microplastics, water quality, shoreline protection, and policies that impact the health of Lake Erie.
“Lake Erie is one of our region’s greatest natural resources,” says Matt Fisher, Vice President of Lake Erie Foundation. “Celebrate the Lake is an opportunity to bring people together around a shared commitment to clean water, healthy communities, and a stronger future for the lake.”
Funds raised through Celebrate the Lake help support LEF’s science-based projects, public education, legislative advocacy, and partnerships with researchers, farmers, businesses, and community leaders. The event also provides an opportunity to recognize the individuals and organizations helping advance Lake Erie protection efforts.
