Celebrate the Lake: Lake Erie Foundation’s Inaugural Fundraiser

Port Clinton, OH – Lake Erie Foundation (LEF) is hosting its first fundraiser, Celebrate the Lake, at the exclusive Catawba Island Club pavilion located at 4235 Beach Club Road in Port Clinton, on August 26, 2022, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This event is starting a tradition of gathering those who care about Lake Erie and raising awareness of the issues impacting Lake Erie and the solutions underway. Proceeds from this event will be for our advocacy work in the Ohio legislature to strengthen projects that reduce HABs, secure critical funding, educational outreach, and new projects to further build awareness and encourage action in our communities on the escalating problems of plastics and microplastics.
The event highlights include an amazing array of heavy hors devours, summer libations, and music while socializing with those who want to see an improved future for Lake Erie. There will be a short program by Dr. Chris Winslow, Director of OSU Stone Lab, and the Ohio Sea Grant program, addressing the current state of the lake and the work being accomplished. Lake Erie Foundation and Ohio Sea Grant work together on solutions to improve the health of Lake Erie.
Fundraising activities include a Wine Pull and silent auction. Auctions items include a ride on the Goodyear Blimp, overnight stays in Cleveland with plumb seats to a Guardians game, a stay in the Grand River Valley wine region, and more.
