AkzoNobel Sponsors The Historic Newport Bermuda Race

AkzoNobel, with its brands Awlgrip and Interlux, is delighted to support one of sailing’s most beloved ocean races, The Newport Bermuda Race, by becoming an Official Sponsor of the event.
The 635-mile biennial ocean race across the Gulf Stream, also known as “the Thrash to the Onion Patch”, will make a welcome return in 2022, starting on June 17th.

The Newport Bermuda Race is the oldest regularly scheduled ocean race in the world. Founded in 1906, 2022 will mark the 52nd running. Attracting sailors from across North America and the entire globe, the fleet could be as large as 225 boats.
