With 160,000 square feet of manufacturing facility on 40 acres, Sport Craft is now being hand crafted by the Perry Boat Works. No stranger to building quality boats, Perry Boat Works has 20 + years of experience in boat manufacturing, building boats for Strike Yachts, Canyon Bay Boats, Outcast 24 and Oyster Bay Boats. They are certainly well known for the companies they keep.
The Sport Craft boat line consists of sport fishing boats ranging from 24 ft to 30 ft and include Walk Around, Center Console and Express deck styles.
Perry Boat Works is committed to build a superior product and is initiating major changes for all 2012 Sport Craft models being built right now. Many changes to the construction of the Sport Craft boat line begins where boat owner’s rarely see. All 2012 Sport Craft models are manufactured wood free. Both the hull and deck are manufactured without wood. The stringer system is made of fiberglass with the bulkheads and coring being foam and Nida Core construction equaling no more rotten wood.
The fiberglass construction is complimented with the highest quality gel coats and resins with yacht quality fit and finish. The wiring has been upgraded throughout as well as an upgrading all lighting to LED lights.
The EXPRESS 272’s and 302’s now have a complete fiberglass upper and lower cabin liner resulting in no cabin carpeting along walls and headliner.
Hard to see but easy to appreciate by serious fishermen are the redesigned scupper recesses in the deck, insuring quicker drainage on Express Models. The same holds true for the new rudder system design for improved and responsive steering & handling and the heavy-duty bronze cast struts coupled inboards now equipped with Heavy Duty 1½” stainless steel shafting.
In foul weather you are protected by a three sided windshield and fiberglass hardtop plus an upgraded Heavy Duty Wiper motor with panoramic arm is now standard for better windshield coverage on Express Models.
To insure the highest level of quality control, thorough in-water sea trails are performed checking speeds, mechanical functions and all electrical components complement the “Hands On” Quality Control checks and re-checks during the building process.
New 2012 improved models have already been completed. Perry Boat Works has recently shipped several 272 and 302 Express models to Happy Days Boating Center in Port Clinton, Ohio and Lake of the Woods Marina in Minnesota with more on the way.
