Season 2 of "Furuno Connections" is well underway, and if you haven't tuned in yet, it's time to get on board! If you've missed any of the action, be sure to catch up now by cruising over to Furuno's YouTube channel, where you'll find four virtually identical boats, each tricked out with the latest electronics packages from four major marine electronics manufacturers. They take each system through a rigorous battery of tests performed by experienced captains and industry veterans, with plenty of on-the-water action in the beautiful Florida Keys!

So far this season, Furuno has tested and compared everything from Multi-Function Display hardware, user interfaces, charts, plotting points, creating routes, and tracking weather. Then, they took a serious look at Solid-State Radar performance, evaluating key functions, such as target separation, short and long-range target detection, bird mode, ARPA, Radar overlay, and much more.

Along the way, Furuno has captured many candid conversations with professional captains where they've shared their feedback, good and bad, on how NavNet TZtouch3 stacks up against the competition. While the commentary from these longtime captains is invaluable, Furuno ultimately want YOU to decide which electronics package is best for YOU. Since there’s no “Consumer Reports” for marine electronics, they have done their very best to level the playing field and present the most unbiased test possible, so you can be the final judge!

Furuno has just wrapped up their Radar testing, so now's the perfect time to catch up with “Connections”. Over the next several episodes, they will take a deep dive into the fish finding capabilities found in each of these systems. They'll compare target definition, adjusting settings, demonstrate post-processing gain control capabilities, and most importantly, they will show how well these units find fish. If you're serious about fishing, you'll want to make sure you tune in to see which MFD manufacturer performs best!

New “Connections” episodes are released every Monday through this summer and into the fall. Simply head over to Furuno's Facebook page and also subscribe to their YouTube channel for updates. While you're there, click the 'Bell' icon to be sure you are among the first to see each new episode of "Furuno Connections"!
