Marblehead, MA – Questus Marine has undergone a major reorganization under new management and has recently expanded and relocated into a new facility in Marblehead, MA. Questus Marine is best known for its industry leading, backstay self-leveling radar mounts that are configured to work with all popular radar systems and have been widely installed and used on sailboats all over the world. Self-Leveling Radar Mounts enable sailing vessels to operate radar at optimum effectiveness regardless of the degree of boat heel. The radar beam remains level and open to targets on the water surface.

In 1990, Questus Marine invented and patented the first Self-Leveling Backstay Radar Mount for 18 kw and 24 kw radar systems. Since then, it has refined and produced additional self leveling radar mounts that can be installed on Masts, Radar Poles and Backstays.

All models of the Questus Marine product line are made in the USA with all its components sourced from US vendors. The product Development, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Shipping and Support are also located at the new Marblehead facility.

Questus Radar Mounts are configured to accommodate all the popular Radomes (B&G, Furuno, Garmin, Lowrance, Raymarine, Simrad, etc.). Whether it is Pulse Radar, HD Radar or Broadband Radar, all these radomes can be mounted on any of our 3 models:

1. Questus 300 G, for 24” radomes, mounted on a Mast or Radar Pole
2. Questus 400 G, for 18” radomes, mounted on a Backstay
3. Questus 500 G, for 18” radomes, mounted on a Mast or Radar Pole

The Questus 400G, can be mounted in front, over or behind the backstay and can be configured six different ways to enable installation on sailing vessels with mainsails near or far from the backstay.

Self-Leveling Radar Mounts enable you to operate the radar at an optimum effectiveness. As the sailing vessel heels, the radar beam remains level and open to targets on the water surface. The Radar will not scan upward (sky) or downward (below the water surface) as the boat heels, rather it maintains the targets to port and starboard.
