The Toledo Yacht Club’s history dates back to the 1800’s. After a devastating fire in 1906, the old frame building was totally destroyed. In 1908, the new masonry structure was erected, which still stands today in all its history and glory.

Few clubs can provide the sheltered, yet convenient, access to the Great Lakes that TYC can. The superb location on the mouth of the Maumee River affords TYC’s boating members the option of a leisurely cruise down the river or the open waters of Lake Erie and its great fishing and islands. TYC provides a full bar, swimming pool, tennis courts, has a full-time manager and staff that care for all the club’s daily operations while still offering some of the lowest dock prices compared to other area marinas. Whether you have a boat or not, TYC offers both boating and non-boating memberships. Now is the time to join during the lowest membership pricing of the year!

Not only is TYC home of the prestigious Mills Race and Thursday night party in June, the yacht club also holds the annual Back to the Bay Party, a kickoff to the boating season which is held on all three floors of the club and brings in hundreds of people every year. Bands, DJ’s, dancing, and refreshments happen all night long. This year’s Back to the Bay Party will be held on Saturday, April 14, with the Distant Couzins Band headlining the event. Back to the Bay and the annual Mills Party is always open to the public, along with many parties scheduled throughout the year.

Did you know that the Toledo Yacht Club was featured on the Sci-Fi show “Ghosthunters” with the T.A.P.S. crew? TYC, along with Erie Shores Paranormal, offers public ghost hunts with plenty of spirits to make you come back for more.
