Hundreds of boats up to 60’ in water and on land plus: Yeti Giveaways, 80s Dress up Contest, Food Trucks, Beer Tents, Live Music, Kids Zone, and more!

Mark your calendar! The ninth annual Metro Boat Show at Lake St. Clair Metropark, coming September 13-16, is an in-water boat show with boats up to 60 ft. in length on display and for sale at great end-of-season prices. Boats featured include new and previously-owned fishing boats, sailboats, cruisers, yachts, pontoon boats, personal watercraft, ski and wakeboard boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Hundreds of boats will be in water and on land making this event a great place to get the first look at the new 2019 model introductions, and for end-of-season deals from quality yacht brokers and dealers. For those new to boating, it is also a great place to learn more about the different types of boating enjoyed by more than four million people each year in Michigan, and just to have some fun.

The outdoor location of the show and attractions at the event add to the appeal of this boat show – it’s unlike any other in the area, and very different than our indoor winter boat shows. A picturesque boardwalk lined with beautiful boats along the Black River leading to Lake St. Clair is the perfect backdrop for a day on the water. Live music will entertain patrons in the Tiki & Nauti Bars and other promotions include an ‘80s dress up contest; Michigan-made craft brews at the beer tents; Yeti A Day Giveaways; and the Kid’s Entertainment Zone with face painting, RC boats, bounce houses, Meet a Mermaid, and more.

The show spans two marinas in the Metropark for a footprint of nearly a half mile from start to finish. The success of the show mirrors boat sales in Michigan, which have been increasing for the past seven years. Pent up demand, low interest rates, high water levels, and great summer weather have fueled another great season for the boating industry. Dealers have reported new and younger customers are buying boats, great news for our industry!
