Get Your Water Toys Ready For Summer Fun

Published: Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Warmer weather is here to stay and that means it’s time to get your water gear ready for some fun in the sun! If you’ve been storing your water toys during the off season, they probably have accumulated some dirt and maybe even some creepy crawly friends, too. Before you toss your rafts, kayaks, and other toys in the water hoping for a quick rinse, you’ll want to put in a little extra elbow grease to get the grime off first. To safely remove dirt, stains, and other residue, try using a high-quality cleaner like 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner. Not only will this make your gear look great, it will help keep the build up from doing any further damage.

If, once you clean off your gear, you notice that some of the residue still lingers, there is a chance that it could be mold or mildew stains. To help get these unsightly and potentially unsafe stains off your water toys, try 303 Mold & Mildew Cleaner + Blocker. Not only does it quickly and safely clean and remove tough mold and mildew stains from virtually any water-safe surface, it also helps prevent mold and mildew stains from reoccurring. Unlike other mold and mildew cleaners on the market, this product does not contain bleach.

While everyone knows it’s important to bring along sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses when hitting the water, did you know that your water gear needs some protection too? In fact, UV rays, salt, and debris in the water can cause damage to water toys’ surfaces over time. To help restore lost color and protect against harmful UV damage, try using 303 Aerospace Protectant on any vinyl, plastic, rubber, or hard surfaces. The protectant also helps repel dust and stains, and leaves a dry, matte (not sticky!) finish!

Now that your water gear is ready to go, it’s time to hit the waves.
