Zyrex is a super slick non-porous co-polymer epoxy with a molecular structure that is water proof and will prevent bottom blisters better than any Gelcoat, Bottom Paint, or Speed Coat. Its unique formulation is environmentally safe and will never flake and fall off into our waterways when applied correctly. With all of the environmental concerns brought to the for front in this last decade Zyrex is at the front lines when it comes to bottom coating environmental safety. After 20 years of application testing Zyrex is now available nationwide.

Zyrex not only increases your speed up to 20% it saves on fuel. With Zyrex growth and residue can be removed from hull with minimal or no effort. The slick surface resists anything from attaching to it in addition to the self-cleaning feature when the boat is put in use. The slick surface causes the boat to glide through the water; one may need to adjust slowing, turning and stopping. Furthermore one gallon of Zyrex weighs around 8 pound where the average gallon of bottom paint is around 20 pounds. Now both will have a percentage of evaporation but when the beginning product begins with double the weight it stands to reason that the end product will add to the weight.

Using the latest technology Zyrex’s superior formulation is also abrasion resistant to protect Gelcoat & Fiberglass from scratches and gouges. There is a constant evaluation of new chemicals so as to extend the already lengthy longevity. The current owner has boats with Zyrex applied for as long as 16 years; apply it once and save the labor and cost of an annual application.

Due to its unique self-leveling properties Zyrex dries to a smooth high gloss shine when applied by roller, brush or spray gun. In the late 1980 Zyrex was discovered when a chemist was looking to make an adhesive for fiber optics. As most, he began to experiment with different chemicals and Zyrex was initially discovered. The original formulation had first been introduced in 1994 at the IBEX show in Miami, FL.

There are multiple stock colors; blue, red, green, light grey, dark gray, black and now a longer lasting white. Unlike other bottom coatings Zyrex offers custom colors.
