The EP CARRY Motor: Lightweight, Yet Powerful

The new EP CARRY Motor system is the only one designed just for small craft such as dinghies, tenders, row boats, and fishing skiffs. EP CARRY delivers quiet, safe, efficient electric power with unique, patented features for control, comfort, and safety.

Small boats are different; they’re lighter and more unstable, with maneuvering and handling challenges. They are best powered from a seated position. EP CARRY’s long tiller arm houses all the power controls (including reverse) within arm’s reach so you can stay seated in the middle. Beaching at the shoreline is easily done by pulling on the tiller arm, which lifts up the prop — no standing, reaching, or lifting!

Since the motor weighs only 14 lbs, and the buoyant battery pack only 6.4 lbs, both can be hand-carried or handed down to a dinghy without difficulty. They run for 1–3 hours, depending on the power level you set. Most small boats can expect speeds of 3.5 to 4.2 kts. Rechargeable lithium battery packs provide steady power with fast recharge time. The motor easily clamps onto a transom or motor mount, and sets up in less than a minute.

Founder and inventor Joe Grez designed it to provide the best power system for boaters who want to enjoy the water without gas fumes, emissions, and noise. It’s just right for most boats 13 feet or less with a transom, and for many day sailboats up to 18 feet (up to 1000 lbs). No assembly or maintenance is needed. The patented water-lubricated gear system is safe for fresh and saltwater use — simply rinse it off after saltwater use.
