The Peoples State Bank of Colfax Illinois Board Member Retires after 42 Years

Bob Beier, a former Director of the Community Bankers’ Association of Illinois, announced his retirement from the Board of Directors of Peoples State Bank of Colfax effective December 31, 2025. In 1978, Bob and his wife Betty, moved to Ladd, Illinois where Bob was named President of the Bank of Ladd.  

Bob had been employed at the State Bank of Piper City for 16 years prior to taking the position at the Bank of Ladd. In 1983, he joined the Board of Directors of Peoples State Bank of Colfax and was elected as Chairman of the Board.   

Bob is the grandson of W. C. Beier, who was one of the original stockholders when the bank was incorporated in 1914, and the son of C. W. Beier, who served on the Board of Directors of Peoples State Bank of Colfax from 1959 to 1984.

Bob’s lifelong connection to the bank has strengthened its mission and guided its growth. Peoples State Bank of Colfax is grateful for his dedication of service and lasting contribution.
