Rethinking Mooring Whips

Published: Wednesday, December 15, 2021 10:00 am

Most people who have used mooring whips to protect their boat will probably tell you that although they are effective at protecting their boat from tide and wind damage, they can also be a real challenge to use.

Docking Products manufactures a whip system with a unique, patent-pending, locking hinge mechanism to simplify the docking process. With their exclusive drop lock, swivel design, you no longer have to fight the tension of your mooring lines positioned three or four feet off the dock. You don’t have to use extended boat hooks or reach over your gunnel to shore your boat up at the dock.

Their exclusive locking, swivel design holds your whips vertically when they are not being used, but more importantly, during the docking process, you can simply captain your boat to the dock, disembark your vessel safely, then secure your whip lines to your vessel from the stability of the dock with minimal effort. Once your lines are secured, you simply pull up our drop lock tabs to deploy the whips out and away from the dock. The result is a simpler and safer way to secure your boat, and faster too!

Options Include:  Piling Mounted, Deck Mount, Dual Style for boats up to 70ft, and Jet Ski Style.
