Prestige Yachts Made For The Ocean, Great For The Lakes!

Published: Monday, January 14, 2019

Prestige Yachts are manufactured in France and lead the industry in almost all of the size classifications from 46’ to 63’. With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that incorporates an efficient manufacturing process second to none, the Prestige yard is among the largest and most productive in the marine industry. Each model is a unique interior design concept in which fine materials serve to highlight a living space that provides plenty of room and is rich with natural light. Each yacht’s interior is designed around its window line, and nothing compromises your view point from the cabin.

Prestige 460S

The Prestige 460S has a remarkably sporty look and benefits from an incomparable design – very open to the exterior. Adaptable to suit your needs, the large opening sunroof and immense sliding glass door found aft can be used to modulate the living space. The Prestige 460S allows one to enjoy an enhanced exterior space when fully opened and a more protected space when the tri-sliding door is closed.

The interior layout features a voluminous salon with a full helm and the galley is situated in the aft section of the salon, blending well with the cockpit area. The salon doors have been pushed forward increasing the exterior cockpit, which is now large enough to feature L-shaped seating, something you can’t even find in competing brands’ larger 50 foot boats! Drop down the interior stairwell – under which one can opt for a combo washer/dryer – to the lower deck and the layout provides plenty of privacy and luxury. The full beam master, with full size windows, is amidships and offers a complete, private head. The VIP guest cabin forward features scissor berths that allow swapping between twin beds or a full double berth. Both cabins are ensuite; the guest accessing the day head. In addition to the two voluminous staterooms, the Prestige 460S offers an optional full crew stateroom with head, full window, and air conditioning!

Twin Volvo Penta IPS is the only drive option, offering IPS 500 (370HP) or IPS 600 (435HP). The larger power option is the choice of the competitors, but with much larger hulls. This results in the Prestige 460S gaining the ability to run near 30 knots at w.o.t. and to cruise near 25 knots, while still maintaining industry leading fuel efficiency. Performance is strong and sight lines remain superb with little bow rise onto plane.

Colony Marine

Anticipating a change in the Great Lakes yacht market early in 2018, Colony Marine began its search for a high quality, elegant design, blue water performer at a competitive value. Prestige offered a perfect blend of ease of use, increased interior volume, and exterior comfort, while still performing beautifully in adverse conditions. Officially joining the Prestige dealer network in October 2018, Colony Marine will be stocking a complete line of Prestige Yachts and is confident that the 460S will fulfill and exceed all expectations regarding ride, livability, quality, and price. The Prestige 460S has the luxurious feel of a larger yacht, but remains comfortably “human sized”, perfect for you and your family. You can board the Prestige 460S (IPS 600) as well as the Prestige 520S while at the Colony Marine VIP day on January 26, 2019, in St. Clair Shores, or at the Detroit Boat Show, February 16-24, 2019.
