Your boat’s T-top may provide shade at the helm, but what about your passengers sitting behind you? Whether you are anchored out or cruising, your entire crew deserves more sun protection to make a long day on the boat much more comfortable.
Unfortunately, many add-on shade solutions typically involve temporary pole-mounted canopy-like shades draped over the bow or cockpit that are as aesthetically unappealing as they are burdensome for a boater. With each use, boaters are faced with the inconvenience of the unwelcomed chore of set-up, wrestling canvas, and assembling poles under the hot sun.
SureShade, the U.S. manufacturer best known for their flagship automated shade systems, also offers new manual boat shade models that are an ideal solution for boaters looking for more shade on smaller boats with a T-top, tower, hardtop, or arch. Using SureShade’s patented telescoping framework, their pull-out shades are a permanent, seamless system for aft or bow shade.
Boaters can install SureShade’s new pull-out boat shades on smaller boats; install once for a permanent shade upgrade to your boat. Using sturdy marine grade components, SureShade can even be extended aft while underway and is tested to withstand winds to 55 MPH.
Their newest stainless steel MTX pull-out boat shade extends 6-9 ft. and is ideal as forward and/or aft shade for center console and dual console boats under 45 feet. An anodized aluminum model, RTX, extends 4.5 ft. and is ideal for boats under 27 feet. Both can easily be installed aft or bow using universal mounting brackets and extend for more shade in seconds.
For boats over 30 feet, boaters can also opt for their ATF automated shade, now available with SG silent glide technology for 85% less noise and 80% less power consumption.
SureShade is available as a factory option or standard feature on nearly 200 different new boat models, or boaters can choose to upgrade an existing boat with available aftermarket and DIY install options.
