Enhance Your Marine Weather Forecasting Skills from the Comfort of your Home

Mark Thornton, president of LakeErieWX Marine Weather, has been sailing Lake Erie since 1994, and is prepared to share his knowledge earned with the general populace.
In addition to in-person seminars, Thornton is also hosting several webinars, with topics including but not limited to Marine Weather, Understanding and Avoiding Thunderstorms, and Wind Forecasting for Sailors.
These webinars are designed to help sailors, power boaters, or even paddlers get a better understanding of marine weather before the 2022 boating season begins in the Great Lakes.
Additionally, for competitive sailors, Thornton says, "Improving your forecasting skills will translate to better performance on the racecourse." Having served as the Race Meteorologist for the Bayview Mackinac Race since 2014, this is an area Thornton is familiar with as well.

Mark began sailing on Lake Erie in 1994 and currently owns Osprey, a 1985 C&C 35. His interest in weather forecasting grew from his experiences cruising and racing on the lake.
