BRABUS Marine Adds Manitowoc Marina to Global Dealer Network

The European luxury performance boat builder looks to deepen US presence with the addition of a Great Lakes dealer.
In 2016, Manitowoc Marina President Rich Larsen was traveling in Europe with his son when they visited his extended family’s marine dealership in Finland. It was there that he became exposed to Axopar Boats, a new European boat manufacturer that had recently started building unique-looking boats that deliver quality and performance at a fair price. Around that same time, Axopar was partnering with the European Supercar company BRABUS to create a superboat on the Axopar platform, similar to BRABUS’s relationship with Mercedes Benz.
Fast forward to 2019 and Larsen couldn’t shake the opportunity to bring Axopar to the Great Lakes from his mind. In 2020, Axopar added Manitowoc Marina to their dealer network with the intention of expanding the brand’s presence in the Midwest. After a successful start to the partnership and significant growth occurring in the Midwest market, Larsen again approached Axopar, this time to expand BRABUS on the Great Lakes.
BRABUS is currently offered in the Brabus Shadow 500 and Brabus Shadow 900, built upon the Axopar 28 and Axopar 37 hulls respectively.
