Welcome to the Water: National Marina Day

Published: Friday, June 10, 2016

As part of a nationwide observance,
SkipperBud’s – Sequoit Harbor is celebrating Welcome to the Water on National
Marina Day on June 11, 2016.

“Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day is a celebration of boating,” said
Mark Ellerbrock, Marina Manager. “As families search for fun outdoor activities
that everyone can enjoy we want to encourage them to give boating a try. Existing
boaters are always ready to celebrate with a day on the water, but on this day we
ask them to bring a non-boater out to share the experience. We hope you will visit
Sequoit Harbor, learn about your boat, enjoy a tour of the marina and look at the
many boats we have for sale with special incentives for first-time boat buyers.”

Additionally, boaters can get ready for the 2016 boating season by participating in
the United States Power Squadron Boating Course. The course is Saturday, June
11th from 9am -1pm. Call 847-635-6239 to sign up.

"Now, more than ever, Americans need outdoor, safe, family-friendly ways to
spend their leisure time. Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day
introduces boating as just such an activity and reminds our existing customers and
our community that SkipperBud’s – Sequoit Harbor is a local, environmentally-
friendly, beautiful gateway to on-the-water fun."

Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day is produced by the Association of
Marina Industries, and Discover Boating. For more information visit
