Innovation in Materials
The challenge was to build a fast, light weight yacht with longevity and economical practicality. To achieve such a feat, the latest technologies have been used within the hull and deck fabrication, as well as in the engines. The powerhouse of substance equating to the VanDutch 40 yacht, is attained by the structural enhancement, compromised of vacuum-injected, composite sandwich construction with Kevlar reinforcements at critical stress points. The result is a lightness yet rigid foundation that of no consequence is nimble; the definition of Van Dutch. A V-drive arrangement of the engines was chosen to induce a sharpened aft to reach the point of the VanDutch 40's center of gravity, optimizing speed and reducing fuel consumption.
High Performance
The Vandutch 40 is an inception of rapid acceleration and excellent cornering. Speeds over 40 knots are easily attained with the help of the Yanmar engine models available in a wide selection of models. Free of vibrations and not succumbed by engine sounds, the Vandutch 40 is uniquely smooth riding while staying discreetly quiet. The propulsion design is conventional propeller shafts with high efficiency propellers that function to form specially designed tunnels through the water, ensuring a near horizontal running angle. The Vandutch 40 is simple to maneuver with help from the stern and bow thrusters. The Vandutch 40 is equipped with the SIMRAD autopilot and navigation system to stay in control without any stress.
Pure Luxury
The VanDutch 40 combines performance with sleek design. Below deck, the durable Corian is implemented into the framework. A hydraulic table transformable into a spacious bed can accommodate 8 guests to dine. Obviously, VanDutch offers the finest amenities, not limited to air conditioning, heating, flat-screen TV, sound system, refrigerator, microwave, and Nespresso machine, all at your disposal. The VanDutch 40 has a bathroom with cold/hot running water and toilet. The deck is covered in a teck composite, Esthec, that gives the luxurious experience of teck without the drawbacks of maintenance, also available in multiple colours. The deck of the VanDutch 40, in sustaining its sleek, flawless image, is fitted with pop-up cleats, flush deck hatches, and pop-up navigation lights, as well as the swim ladder and fender storage recessing. The cockpit of the VanDutch 40 is a modular solarium that extends into the deck platform inviting its guest to lounge on, sinking into, the edgy, one-tone colored Silvertex seating; this cushioned seating for sunbathing is outlaid starboard-side in a reversed L-shape and followed seamlessly by three spacious, seating zones in the rear facing towards the swimming platform and the glorious blue beyond. The Vandutch 40 maximizes that only the sleek lines of the design be in sight for full admiration.
Design
Frank Mulder needs no introduction, having been awarded several times for his accomplishments in design. His high standards have merited his winning the prestigious International Super Yachts Society, amongst many other awards. The lee of the windscreen enables you to enjoy the spacious lounge area and sun bed in great comfort, leaving you to focus on the excellent sailing performance.
