Since 1953, Cruisers Yachts of Oconto, Wis., has been known as one of the world’s premier providers of midsize luxury yachts. Its sleek Cantius line has been a prominent leader in the express cruiser market and their new GLS series will continue to impress you. The first boat of the series is the 38 GLS, which perfectly packages a bow rider and outboards with the big boat craftsmanship you expect from the Cantius line.
For the GLS Series, Cruisers Yachts teamed up with Facheris Design to design a striking exterior while maintaining the Cantius family resemblance. The Cruisers Yachts engineering team designed the interior with contemporary style and comfort in mind.
The open-concept cockpit reflects the contemporary desire for entertainment options. The bow lounge features a cocktail table that can be lowered to become a sunpad. The galley is located portside adjacent from the helm station and features a fiberglass inlay sink, fridge, and bottle storage along with an optional grill and TV. Built into the galley is a raised wet bar with swivel bar stools.
Moving aft, the boat was designed with dual opposing L-shaped dinettes to maximize entertainment. The tables can be stored underneath the starboard side seating. The helm station is located on the starboard side of the vessel and can be outfitted with dual 12” electronic screens. Visibility is excellent both forward and aft. Beneath the double wide bolster helm seat is storage or an optional ice maker.
However, it’s the beach door that is the true key feature on this boat. With a press of a button, the starboard hull side lowers to become an additional swim platform. This allows for additional recreational space that is usually sacrificed in most outboard designs. For added comfort, the aft-facing bench backrest can swivel to face the beach door. For an escape from the sun, there is an opening sunroof along with an optional foredeck and aft deck shade.
The lower cabin features an aft stateroom with deep shelf storage. For additional sleeping quarters, the U-shaped dinette converts into a comfortable berth. A galley, full head, and optional flat screen TV complete this extraordinary accommodation level.
“The new 38 GLS offers versatile seating arrangements for your endless entertaining needs,” says Matt VanGrunsven, Director of Marketing at Cruisers Yachts.
This thoughtful level of comfort coupled with true performance makes this hybrid yacht a standout in the current market. The 38 GLS features triple 300 Mercury Verados clocking in at a top speed of 53 mph. Outboard and sterndrive options from Volvo Penta and MerCruiser ranges from 380-430 HP. All options come outfitted with joystick maneuverability.
