“Times, they are a-changin’,” said Bob Dylan, and he couldn’t be more accurate. We see it all around us, from the way we communicate to the way we relax, from the way we live to the ways in which we find ourselves dreaming.
Manufacturing is no different. Like in most manufacturing worlds, when designing and constructing boats, companies are challenged to be experts in what the consumer wants, which is a-changin’. Designers are expected to anticipate needs and deliver something we didn’t know we needed... yet. And although some may be afraid of change, Everglades Boats is not, because they’re confident they know their anglers and their new Everglades 340 Dual Console is confident it knows what you want: space, convenience, and reliability.
Immediately evident on the 340DC is Everglades commitment to retain its fishability heritage. A dividable 71 gallon fish box is found aft and a 24 gallon aerated, lighted, and pressurized livewell is at the stern. An optional GEMLUX carbon fiber outrigger package is available as are four additional rod holders on the aft of the hardtop. Raw and fresh water washdowns come standard and the bow rails are kept low profile, and, although fishing may be what Everglades is traditionally known for, luxury and comfort become more noticeable in this model.
With 96 square feet of room in the cockpit, you basically have an entire bedroom’s worth of maneuverability allowing you full elbow room and a few friends, too. Plus, try to find seating in this boat that doesn’t serve dual purpose—you can’t. The forward bow seating is spacious and inviting and hides a built-in insulated cooler as well as additional storage. If desired, the adjustable table can be removed and easily stored. A bimini top can keep your guests out of the sun, or keep it stowed away. A center door and sliding windshield allows the forward seating to be completely sealed off or seamlessly open, with Everglades’ patented windshield powered by a mere 12 volts controllable with a simple button.
Moving aft, the helm has double wide seating at starboard allowing for standing or sitting, and the port side companion seat is convertible as well, allowing for sitting or lounging. The starboard interior offers a small head with a folding teak shower seat, a pull out shower, porcelain sink, and large vanity space. The port side interior contains a sofa that converts to a berth, while the TV and optional air conditioning invites lounging for a while. The helm is dominated by twin Garmin displays while the throttle and joystick control are easily at hand.
The rear of the boat, starboard side, hosts the cockpit galley with a sliding drawer refrigerator, trash compartment, solid countertops, an optional grill, and a convenient handrail placed here to prove that this boat was designed by real boaters. At the stern, seating folds out or away and storage is abundant. The side door allows easy boarding or access for diving, fishing, and more.
With an appeal that those in need of relaxation will love, and a set up that those in need of a new personal record will appreciate, Everglades 340 Dual Console presents yacht-quality fit and finish that is secured by a lifetime hull warranty. This boat easily invites you to bring your family and your friends along for an experience, perhaps one that could be a-changin’.
