Progressive Insurance Presents The Michigan City In-Water Boat Show
Some Events Will Include:
Flyboard DemosFlyboard demos will be held daily in the water. The new single-person Flyboard apparatus from Zapata Racing uses water jets to propel its rider both under water and into the air! Operators may control their movements just by tilting their feet and using the handheld nozzles for stabilization. The Flyboard is capable of lifting a rider 35 feet into the air with power provided from a standard personal watercraft.
Twiggy Returns!
Twiggy will be back at the boat show and ready to delight audiences of all ages! For more than 30 years, trainer Lou Ann Best and the Florida gray squirrel have travelled around the globe to teach people about boating safety.
Sponsored by the Michigan City Port Authority, Twiggy will perform at the following times:
- Thursday, August 23: 3pm, 6pm
- Friday, August 24: 3pm, 6pm
- Saturday, August 25: 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm
- Sunday, August 26: 1pm, 3pm, 5pm
Brunswick Experience
Making its Great Lakes debut, the new Brunswick Experience Truck will allow visitors to try their hands at joystick boat maneuvering from the safety of the shore. You may find all the latest information about Axius and Zeus pod drives on display inside and even challenge your friends to a docking showdown.
Free Dockage Special!
The Michigan City Port Authority will provide free dockage at Washington Park Marina for the remainder of the summer for any visitor who purchases a boat at the show!
Be sure to notify your salesperson if you would like to take advantage of the offer.
LaPorte County Day
All LaPorte County residents will receive free admission on Thursday, Aug. 23! All you need to do is present an ID with a LaPorte County address at the box office.
Party Barge
Take a load off, catch some shade, and enjoy a beverage or two on the fun-filled Party Barge! This floating pavilion is a great place to catch up with boating buddies old and new.

Admission:
Adults: $10.00
Children 12 and Younger: FREE
Adults 60+: $8.00
BoatUS Member-Adult: $8.00 (only available to online ticket buyers)
Cost of admission to the boat show does not include parking. A fee for the adjacent Washington Park lots is collected by the Michigan City Parks Department. Air-conditioned shuttles run from nearby lots to the show entrance during event hours.
