Well, it’s been a slow week here at Purgatory Cove. It’s still a little early in the season so the guys have some spare time to kill in the boat shed. Well, it’s been a slow week here at Purgatory Cove. Kinda quiet, too, as Lefty and Wade are both recovering from their last (mis)adventure. Seems Wade has a habit of watching those educational channels on his 10” TV. That, in itself is an adventure as there isn’t any cable out here at the Cove. Clem, the proprietor of the Paradise Liquor Store and Taxidermy Shop had bought one of the old houseboats layin’ around the yard here. He’s been workin’ on it off an on. It was one of the houseboats that had been in the back part of the yard for a couple of years. It had a steel hull with wood deck and cabin. Well, it’s been a slow week here in Purgatory Cove. Sam’s not been too happy lately. Seems that magazine fella was as good as his word and put some of the news from Purgatory Cove in his magazine and Sam’s phone has been ringing off the hook ever since.
