Weems & Plath Adds U.S. Coast Guard Approved Personal Rescue Strobe To Their Line Of Safety Products

The NEW Personal Rescue Strobe is a Dedicated Lifejacket Safety Light

Published: Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Weems & Plath, manufacturer of fine nautical safety and navigation products since 1928, recently announced that they are introducing a Personal Rescue Strobe that is U.S. Coast Guard approved as a dedicated PFD (lifejacket) or harness safety light. The Personal Rescue Strobe is one of the most robust lights on the market with heavy-duty construction that is based on requirements for lights in deep-sea diving. It is DIVE-rated to 1,000 feet and is waterproof 1px7.

This rugged, military-grade light is activated manually with an easy twist on/off motion. Best in class for compact strobes, it operates with a powerful 200 Lumen LED bulb housed in an unbreakable Lexan lens that flashes 60 times per minute with a 360 degree omni-view. The unique light cone extends visibility which helps make it 4x brighter than average compact strobes. In addition, the light is visible from over two miles away. Package includes a Velcro® hook & loop strap and two 4” zip ties for easy installation on Type I, II, III, and V PFD’s. The strobe operates on one AA battery and is manufactured in the USA.
