Killarney Mountain Lodge and Stafford’s Perry Hotel Join Forces for a Unique Culinary Experience

The iconic Perry Hotel in downtown Petoskey recently hosted the “Chef’s Across the Great Lakes” charity dinner in the hotel’s Rose Room. Proceeds benefitted the Gerald Gramzay-Stafford's Hospitality Culinary Scholarship Fund with the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to furthering education, awarding culinary arts scholarships annually to a Petoskey-area high school graduate.
Prior to his passing in October 2013, Chef Gerald Gramzay was Stafford’s corporate chef and business partner of more than 13 years.
Chefs Across the Great Lakes is about collaboration, sharing of culinary styles, and building good will and lasting friendships between Canada and The United States. Chef D.J. Flynn of Stafford’s Hospitality, Inc. and Chef Guy Bedard of Killarney Mt. Lodge have created a menu featuring asparagus bisque, Great Lakes trout gravlax, cracklin’ cornish hen, and a very special creme brulee. Typically, the GAGL dinners are priced at about $65.00 per person; wine paring extra.
Killarney Mountain Lodge, situated on Georgian Bay in Northern Ontario, has conducted several chef exchange events in Michigan, the latest with the Perry Hotel chefs in Killarney on June 13. The Lodge is in the final stages of a $36 million expansion/renovation since attorney and entrepreneur Holden Rhodes acquired the property in 2015.
