Historical Fishing Display
Dan Basore is back at the Sports Show with his fabulous collection of antique
fishing lures. Fishing equipment dating back thousands of years, plus exhibits of
some of the finest handmade lures ever built will be on display. Also, attendees can
bring their own fishing equipment to the “Old Tackle Shop” for free appraisals.
Fisherman should be encouraged to head for the attic and bring that old lure or rod
and reel to the Sports Show. They might find they have something of true value.

Mercury Marine Sport Fishing Boats and Outboard Motors Pavilion

The Sports Show has the latest in boats and motors. It is the largest fishing
boat and “runabout” display in Wisconsin. Each exhibitor is a family owned business
that has deep Wisconsin roots. These independent dealers have long time ties to
Wisconsin families and to the Sports Show.

House boating

We often think of RV’s as a great way to travel, but for those who really want
peace on the water, house boating is the way to go. The Sports Show has
houseboats from the Mississippi River to Lake of the Woods. They make wonderful
family vacations and also are longstanding traditions for “guys” weekends.

Piers, Docks and Lifts

It is a safe bet that a large portion of the piers, docks & lifts dotting lakes across
Wisconsin came from the manufacturers exhibiting at the Sports Show. They
represent the top of the line and most trusted names in the industry.

Kids

The future of the outdoors is all about introducing children to its wonders and in
today’s world tearing them off the couch and stopping their thumbs from playing video
games or texting. At the Sports Show kids will be so busy they will happily leave their
electronic world behind. The Sports Show makes us all kids again!

Food
What would the Sports Show be without the smell of jerky, pig’s feet, squeaky
cheese, chocolate, nuts, elk, fish, brats and beer. For decades vendors making
products for the outdoors have flocked to the Sports Show to sell their products.
It is a gastronomical surgeon’s delight. If you sampled every food product at the
Sports Show you will be ready for any outdoor adventure.
