18 months ago, Vanquish Boats president Morgan Huntley called Zurn Yacht Designer Doug Zurn and said “we have to take a bowrider and make it classy.”
Mission accomplished. Meet the Vanquish 26’ Dual Console, the classiest bowrider we’ve seen yet. The boat offers all the benefits and family friendly design found in other Dual Consoles, wrapped seamlessly in the trademark Vanquish style. With its modest flare and subtle tumblehome aft, it has appropriate appointments in all the right locations. The boat easily seats 9, has an enclosed head, and comes with a choice of an integrated wet bar and cooler or an additional rear facing seat.
The company has already seen success with their 24’ Center Console and 24’ Runabout. Every single boat is built to withstand the harsh environment on the ocean while maintaining the lake boat heritage best seen in the 24’ Runabout. The Dual Console, Vanquish’s first outboard powered boat, looks equally good cutting through chop off Rhode Island as it does gliding across Lake Michigan. Huntley said “We pay careful attention to how boaters are enjoying their days on the water and we felt that the versatility that the Dual Console design offers made an excellent addition to our current lineup.”
The company has stayed true to its commitment to using some of the best available materials to enhance performance. Like all Vanquish models the 26 DC is built using Vinelester Epoxy and features Armor flex Buff back Gel coat and a carbon fiber stringer grid. This level of construction is at the heart of the boats performance. With the optional 250 HP Yamaha, the Vanquish reaches speeds of 51 MPH and cruises at 35 MPH. At 35 MPH, the engine burns about 9 gallons an hour for a mileage rating of nearly 4 MPG. With the throttle wide open, she still sips fuel at almost 2 MPG.
