Dr. Shrink Offers Recycling Run to Wisconsin and Illinois

With successful shrink wrap recycling runs in Michigan and Canada, Dr. Shrink is expanding the program to Wisconsin and Illinois.  Joining with Bay Area Recycling for Charities in Traverse City, Michigan and Wisconsin Marina Association, there is no excuse for boat owners, marinas and storage facilities in these states not to recycle their shrink wrap covers.

"Our marine-grade shrink wrap is a #4 LDPE premium, virgin resin material that is easily recyclable into a variety of usable consumer products," said Dr. Shrink president Mike Stenberg.  "Unfortunately, it won't biodegrade in a landfill, which is why it's very important to take the easy way out and sign up for our Recycling Run."

Participants must buy REBAG®s for $3 each from Dr. Shrink and stuff it with shrink wrap only, no strapping, buckles, vents or other contaminants.  It doesn't need to be Dr. Shrink, Inc. brand material to be recycled.

A video highlighting instructions on how to remove a shrink wrap cover can be found at here.

Participants fill out and return a form with their address and preferred pick-up week.  Forms can be obtained by contacting Dr. Shrink or Andy Gale of Bay Area Recycling at [email protected].
