H2O Marine Supplies, Innovator of Creative Recreational Products

Having grown up in a family that inspired creativity and rewarded innovation, one of the founders of H2O Marine Supplies, Len LaRue, was up to the task when his wife gave him the “honey-do list” to create her a place to bask in the sun on their boat. After several attempts, LaRue came up with the novel idea of a hammock that affixed to the swim platform for relaxing on the water. After a weekend on the lake with family and friends, LaRue was stopped by several boaters inquiring where they could get the hammock which sets the wheels in motion for a creative new business, thus the beginning of H2O Marine Supplies and the infamous Nautical Napper!

Several weeks later after the first outing with the hammock, LaRue and friends were on the lake with other boaters. In typical fashion, several boaters were tied together jumping from boat to boat, enjoying the lake version of a tailgating party. It didn’t take long for one of his friends to miss their step and make a huge splash. Upon returning home, LaRue and friends were reminiscing about the watergating party and how many folks miss the step jumping from boat to boat. Immediately, LaRue started research on developing a durable, lightweight platform that would provide a sturdy walkway between boats while rafting. The end result produced the Party Bridge.
