The following options are available for classified ads with Great Lakes Scuttlebutt.

Advertisement in Printed Publication
  • Includes placement in 3 locations: printed magazine, online magazine & classified database
  • Great Lakes Scuttlebutt's printed publication is bi-monthly (6 times a year).
  • The next deadline for placement of this type of ad is June 10th.  This will be for the issue covering the months of July and August.
  • Your ad will appear in all 3 locations listed above beginning July 1st and will run for the length of time you purchase.
  • Use up to 25 words in a small classified ad or 50 words in a large classified ad to describe your item
 Advertisement Online-Only
  • Includes placement in 1 location: classified database
  • Great Lakes Scuttlebutt's online-only ads change on a daily basis
  • There is no deadline for placement of this type of ad.
  • Your ad will appear in the classified database of our website upon validation of information and payment and will run for the length of time you purchase. 
  • If submitted during normal office hours, this type of ad will generally appear the same day it is purchased.
  • Use up to 300 words to describe your item

Small Ad (25 words)

  • 1 Issue (2 mo. exposure): $50.00
  • 3 Issues (6 mo. exposure): $125.00
  • 6 Issues (12 mo. exposure): $200.00

Large Ad (50 words)

  • 1 Issue (2 mo. exposure): $75.00
  • 3 Issues (6 mo. exposure): $175.00
  • 6 Issues (12 mo. exposure): $300.00

Online Only

Ads are $25.00 per month.
You can purchase 1, 2, 3, or 6 months at a time.

The following applies for all classified ads with Great Lakes Scuttlebutt.

  1. These ads are reserved for selling a boat or boat-related product.  No company or personal ads, please!
  2. Picture placement is included with your ad purchase.
  3. All classified ads must be pre-paid.
  4. Great Lakes Scuttlebutt reserves the right to edit any ad that does not match the limitations of the type of ad purchased (I.E. word count).  However, we will try to contact you first.  Please be sure to provide reliable contact information should this become necessary.
  5. No refunds will be issued if the item sells before the length of placement expires.
  6. We will notify you before your ad expires so you can renew if necessary.
